2023 ADE/ADL Summer Seminar “Centering the Humanities”
The 2023 Modern Language Association ADE/ADL Summer Seminar was organized and hosted by Georgetown University under the leadership of Prof. Ricardo Ortiz with the collaboration of Georgetown Humanities and other departments and programs.
The topic “Centering the Humanities” fostered discussions about humanities responses to current social and pedagogical challenges; strategies to connect the humanities to the public sphere; and structures and partnerships to support humanities and language and literature departments. From June 1st to June 4th, 2023, numerous Georgetown humanities faculty members and graduate students attended and contributed to plenary sessions, roundtables, workshops and discussion groups.
