New Work in Global Justice Book Talks

On September 14, 2023, Prof. Duncan M. Yoon (New York University) presented his book China in Twentieth- and Twenty-First-Century African Literature, addressing the complexity of exchanges between Africans and Chinese as far back as the Cold War and beyond, and the controversial cultural representations of China in African literature.

The event was co-sponsored by Georgetown University’s Africa-China Initiative, English Department, the Georgetown Humanities Initiative, and the Initiative for U.S.-China Dialogue on Global Issues, as well as Howard University’s Center for African Studies.
